Legal information
Terms of sale
Airplop is paid for once, with no subscription and no in-app purchase. You buy it on a store, which sells it to you and takes the payment.
This English version is provided for convenience. The French version is the reference.
Summary
- Paid once
- Sold and paid for through the store
- Refunds through the store
- Legal guarantee of conformity
For a purchase of Airplop as a consumer, these terms describe the price, each store’s role, your rights and our commitments. They complement the store’s terms, which govern the order and payment, and take away none of your rights. Use of the app is covered by the terms of use.
Price
- Price in France: €1.99 including VAT on the App Store and on Google Play, paid once.
- In other countries, the price is the one the store shows, taxes included, before you confirm the purchase: that is the price that applies.
- The Windows version is not on sale yet; on the Microsoft Store, its price will likewise be the one the store shows before the purchase.
- No subscription, no in-app purchase, no ads. Updates are free.
- On the App Store, one purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac, as soon as the Mac version is available there. Each store sells its own version: a purchase on one does not carry over to the others.
- Airplop must be installed on both devices, the one that sends and the one that receives. Before you buy, check the operating conditions and the list of system requirements.
Who sells, who gets paid
The publisher, Axel Fintz EI (Galen Studio), designs the app and grants you its licence. On the App Store and Google Play, the store sells it to you: it is your seller for the purchase, handles the order and collects the payment.
- App Store
- For its customers in France and the rest of the European Union, Apple Distribution International Ltd. (Cork, Ireland) is the “merchant of record”: you acquire from it the app licence, which the publisher grants you. Apple charges your payment method, taxes included, and sends invoices electronically.
- Google Play
- Content on Google Play is offered by Google Commerce Limited (Dublin, Ireland). When you buy Airplop, you enter into the sales contract with it, under the Google Play Terms of Service: it is your seller. Payment goes through your Google account.
- Microsoft Store
- The Windows version is not on sale yet. The Microsoft Store is operated by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited (Dublin, Ireland). Who will sell you the Windows app, and who will collect the payment, will be stated here when it comes out.

Order and payment
You buy Airplop from its listing in the store, with your store account and the store’s payment methods. The store shows the price and asks you to confirm the purchase; the order and payment follow its terms. We never receive your payment details.
The app is supplied as soon as you buy it: its download starts straight away.
Right of withdrawal
For a distance purchase, you normally have 14 days to withdraw, without giving a reason. For digital content not supplied on a physical medium, such as an app, you only lose this right if three conditions are met: you expressly agreed that supply would start before the end of that period, you acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, and you received confirmation of this agreement (Article L221-28, 13°, of the French Consumer Code).
Withdrawal is exercised with the store. Here is what their own terms say:
- App Store
- Apple’s terms give you 14 days from the day you get your receipt to cancel the order, without giving a reason: Apple Account, then Purchase History, then “Withdraw Transaction”. They make an exception when delivery has started at your request and you acknowledged that you thereby lose this right. Apple refunds no later than 14 days after your notice, using the same means of payment.
- Google Play
- The Google Play terms state that when you buy digital content, you agree that it is made available to you immediately and thereby waive your statutory right of withdrawal. Under French law, this waiver is not automatic: it only holds if the three conditions above are met. If they are not, you keep your 14 days; contact Google, which then refunds using the same means of payment. Google may also refund within 48 hours of purchase (see Refunds).
- Microsoft Store
- The Microsoft Store return policy excludes apps, but it applies in addition to the statutory right of withdrawal without affecting it. Microsoft explains how to exercise it on its Microsoft Store withdrawal form page: with an unequivocal statement sent to Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, before the 14-day period ends.
Refunds
Payment goes through the store, and so does a refund. To ask for one:
- App Store
- Apple handles questions about payment, delivery and refunds. You make the request from your Apple Account, in your purchase history.
- Google Play
- Within 48 hours of purchase, you can ask Google for a refund, which it grants depending on the purchase. After that, Google tells you to contact the developer: write to us at contact@galenstudio.fr. We deal with the request as the law provides; where the law requires a refund (withdrawal, legal guarantee), it is paid to you by Google Play, on the original order. Google also states that, in the European Economic Area, it refunds purchases that are faulty or don’t match their description (Google Play refund policy for apps, Google Play refunds in the EEA).
- Microsoft Store
- Contact Microsoft Store support, as stated in the Microsoft Store Terms of Sale.
After these periods, if the app does not work as described, the legal guarantee of conformity still protects you (below).
Legal guarantees
Airplop is digital content supplied in a single act. The box below translates the model that the French Consumer Code sets for this case (annex to Article D211-3).
Legal guarantee of conformity
The consumer has two years from the supply of the digital content or digital service to obtain the application of the legal guarantee of conformity if a lack of conformity appears. For one year from the date of supply, the consumer only has to establish the existence of the lack of conformity, not the date on which it appeared.
The legal guarantee of conformity entails the obligation to supply all the updates needed to keep the digital content or digital service in conformity.
The legal guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to have the digital content or digital service brought into conformity without undue delay following their request, free of charge and without major inconvenience to them.
The consumer may obtain a price reduction while keeping the digital content or digital service, or may end the contract and be refunded in full in return for giving up the digital content or digital service, if:
- 1° the trader refuses to bring the digital content or digital service into conformity;
- 2° bringing the digital content or digital service into conformity is unjustifiably delayed;
- 3° the digital content or digital service cannot be brought into conformity without costs imposed on the consumer;
- 4° bringing the digital content or digital service into conformity causes major inconvenience to the consumer;
- 5° the lack of conformity of the digital content or digital service persists despite the trader’s unsuccessful attempt to bring it into conformity.
The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or to terminate the contract when the lack of conformity is so serious that it justifies an immediate price reduction or termination. The consumer is then not required to ask for the digital content or digital service to be brought into conformity first.
Where the lack of conformity is minor, the consumer is only entitled to cancel the contract if the contract does not provide for the payment of a price.
Any period during which the digital content or digital service is unavailable in order to be brought back into conformity suspends the remaining guarantee period until the digital content or digital service is supplied in conformity again.
The rights above result from Articles L. 224-25-1 to L. 224-25-31 of the French Consumer Code.
A trader who obstructs the application of the legal guarantee of conformity in bad faith is liable to a civil fine of up to €300,000, which may be raised to 10% of average annual turnover (Article L. 242-18-1 of the French Consumer Code).
The consumer also benefits from the legal guarantee against hidden defects under Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code, for two years from the discovery of the defect. This guarantee entitles the consumer to a price reduction if the digital content or digital service is kept, or to a full refund in return for giving it up.
How to use it
For any problem, write to us first, at contact@galenstudio.fr, describing the problem and your two devices (model and system version). We are the ones who fix the app, and bringing it into conformity costs you nothing. We confirm in writing what we found.
You can claim the guarantee from us, as we grant you the app’s licence, and from the store, your seller (see Who sells, who gets paid), to the extent its terms provide for it. A price reduction or a refund due under the guarantee is paid to you by the means of payment you used, no later than 14 days after the trader is informed of your decision (Article L224-25-23 of the French Consumer Code). On Google Play, write to us: we pay it through Google Play, on the original order (see Refunds). On the App Store, you can ask Apple for it from your Apple Account; if it is not paid to you, write to us.
On the App Store, Apple’s terms state that, subject to local law, the app’s provider, that is the publisher, is responsible for its warranties and for claims about it, except for what directly concerns the role of Apple Distribution International Ltd. as seller, and that your statutory rights against the latter, as the seller, are not affected.
Support
A question about the app or how it works: write to us at contact@galenstudio.fr, or see Airplop’s help. A question about payment, an invoice or your account: contact the store’s support.
Complaints and disputes
Write to us first, at contact@galenstudio.fr: it is the only address for complaints. We reply in writing.
For a dispute about the purchase or the store itself (payment, refund, account), its own terms apply: Microsoft names the Paris Mediation and Arbitration Centre (CMAP) in its French terms; Apple states that it does not intend to use a mediator, and Google Commerce Limited does not commit to doing so.
The European online dispute resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025 (Regulation (EU) 2024/3228). You can also bring the matter before the competent court.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Airplop can be bought in countries other than France: wherever it applies, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live (in the European Union, Rome I Regulation, Article 6). Your contract with the store follows its own terms.
The version in force on the day you buy applies to that purchase. A new version is published on this page, with its date.
