To work, Airplop also needs:

  • Airplop installed on both devices: the one that sends and the one that receives;
  • both devices connected to the same local network, the same Wi-Fi or a wired network (Ethernet), that lets them see each other; between two Apple devices, the system can also connect them directly;
  • both devices paired in “My devices” or, for a first transfer, the receiving device set to “Everyone (10 min)”;
  • the permissions the app asks for: Local Network on iPhone, iPad and Mac (macOS 15 and later); Nearby devices on Android 12 and later, Location on Android 10 to 12.

Details are in the operating conditions and in the help on connections.

Good to know

  • Each store sells its own version: a purchase on the App Store does not carry over to Google Play, and vice versa.
  • €1.99 including VAT in France, paid once, with no subscription and no ads. In other countries, the store shows the price in your currency before you confirm the purchase.

Before installing, see what the app does with your data (nothing). Price, withdrawal and refunds are set out in the terms of sale.
